So, apparently sometimes in Nicaragua you will be walking down the street and all of a sudden people will start yelling “the gangs are coming” and everyone will have to run inside to ostensibly avoid being dismembered with machetes, the weapon of choice of Nicaraguan gangs.
The worst part about this is that I don’t know the Spanish for “The Gangs” or “Are Coming” so I’ll probably go ahead and learn that before I get there.
Anyway: Fear of Spiders > Fear of Machete Gangs.
I saw this video and I was like “ahh that’s terrifying.” Then I read the comments and found out it wasn’t a spider, but just a Whip Scorpion.
Although unnerved by it’s apparent ability to teleport, I am ultimately releived.
My name is Kellen. I am going to Nicaragua in January. I am very afraid of Spiders, more afraid than I am of say, a comparably sized insect of a different nature.
Imagine a wasp the size of a tarantula. Terrifying right? NOT AS TERRIFYING AS AN ACTUAL TARANTULA.
